360Works Plastic - Important TLS Updates and Authorize.Net Disablement

In May 2017, 360Works sent out a first notice of upcoming TLS changes and released a new major version of Plastic (3) which supports the TLS 1.2 security protocol.

As you may be aware, the Payment Card Industry (PCI) Security Standards Council has set deadlines in place for transitioning from earlier versions of TLS to a secure version of TLS 1.2 by June 30, 2018.

The Authorize.Net payment gateway will disable TLS 1.0 and 1.1 on February 28, 2018.

Note: Other specific gateways discontinued support for earlier TLS versions in late 2017, please be sure to check TLS 1.0 and 1.1 disablement dates for your gateway. If you have additional gateway deadline questions, please contact your gateway directly for their requirements.

It is important to take action with security updates, as vulnerabilities in SSL and early TLS are very serious.

Plastic was created to make it easy to process secure credit card payments from FileMaker. At 360Works, we consider it a priority to ensure our plugins are working with the latest technology standards.

Plastic 3 is available as a paid upgrade from Plastic 2.
